I love hearing how couples meet. Typically it’s a story of trying online dating and nearly giving up before finally meeting “the one”. Adrienne and Christopher have a very different story. They met each other randomly one night at a hostel in South America and instantly found connection.
The outdoor-loving couple decided to tie the knot at The Winding River Ranch, near Grand Lake Colorado where Chris grew up. The sprawling ranch boasts a small stream, a historic old barn, and epic views of the Rocky Mountains. It butts up against Rocky Mountain National Park. Christopher and Adrienne couldn’t have timed the wedding better as the fall leaves were peaking.
While they each enjoyed getting ready with their friends at separate AirBnbs Chris and Adrienne were sure to keep things extra special by sending each other handwritten cards and gifts, including cards for their parents. I love classy and thoughtful displays of affection like these.
The ceremony was as windy as could be, but that didn’t stop the couple from having some great laughs, tender moments, and exchanging vows and rings. Afterwards, by request, a ladder was brought out so that I could capture all of their guests in one group photo. What a fun and unique idea!
The wind died down and allowed everyone to enjoy the early fall evening playing games, eating pizza, and taking in the gorgeous views. At sunset Chris and Adrienne invited everyone back to the ceremony site where they opened champagne and thanked their guests for coming.
Finally, to end the night, the couple and guests ate and danced the night away in a beautiful and creatively decorated barn.
Cheers to you Christopher and Adrienne. Your wedding was just as fun, beautiful, and heartfelt as I had hoped. You two have so much class and I’m so happy God brought you two together in South America. There’s no way that was chance! Thank you friends and family as well for a great event.
